An's Guide to Brooklyn - part 2
social media chat, my travel plans, & the best shopping in Brooklyn
In An’s Guide to Brooklyn - part 1, I walked you through popular Brooklyn neighborhoods and shared with you my favorite food and drink list including spots in my neighborhood. Part 2 below is going to be all about the shopping including the most-requested list of vintage and thrift shops, home decor and furniture shops, grocery stores, & specialty shops that I love and frequent. I know I’ve been putting most of my travel guides behind a paywall, but you should see something similar up on my blog for free a few weeks after that. I can’t promise the exact timeline, but be sure to check my blog often.
Montreal Travel Guide is live on my blog!
I also always want to be a helpful resource for everyone, so feel free to reach out to me in DMs — I’d love to recommend you some spots that best fit your NYC travel itinerary, send links or share with you all of the tips that I learn along the way. Again, I really appreciate your readership, and thanks for being here!
Social media apps - This week, I’m a bit busy doing some paid content creation projects for Lemon8 (home and fashion focus - mine is @antrieu, so follow me if you have an account there!). Then with the release of Twitter’s direct competitor, Threads (yes, I also did hop on it!), and seeing the response so far gets me kinda excited for a change. People like to pick sides, team Haley vs. team Selena, Snapchat stories vs. IG stories, team Twitter vs. Threads, Kim vs. Kourtney, this vs. that, and I don’t like that divisive mentality. It gets super exhausting having to see or hear it all the time, and I go through this social media exhaustion every once in a while. I feel like I should just hop back to Youtube to create longer slower-paced content because that’s what I like to watch and create! Then I’d like to just focus on my blog writing and growing my email list, and I think I will be content with this career path that I’ve pursued after quitting science.
Note to self: Management rather than labor. Organization rather than actual implementation.
