Two Days in Cape Cod
revisiting old favorites and discovering new spots on the Cape + what I've been up to this week
I’m writing this week’s newsletter from Silence Please, a pretty cool hangout spot/cafe in Bowery, Lower East Side. It is actually part listening room and part tea house, and I’m pleased after my first visit. There are plenty of spots to work on my laptop with free unlimited Wi-Fi.

In case you don’t know, I have a series on TikTok, here, so feel free to check it out and share it with a friend if you’re looking for cool spots to work from in NYC.
If you followed me on IG or watched my vlogs, you’d know I went to Cape Cod last weekend. I stayed with a close friend of mine who recently moved to Boston for one night before we all headed out to the Cape bright and early on Saturday. It was a fun and quick 2-day trip, and I enjoyed it even more this time.
I took a similar trip, visiting Cape Cod for the weekend and taking a day trip to Martha's Vineyard, back in August 2023.

Friday 8/22/2025 - NYC TO BOSTON
We left Brooklyn at around 3 pm on Friday, made stops for gas and dinner in New Haven, and arrived in Boston at 10 pm. Getting out of NYC is always the toughest because of traffic, and I’d be gladly to pay the toll if it shortened an hour of my time.

Saturday 8/23/2025 - CHATHAM & MIDDLE OUTER CAPE
Initially, I planned to visit Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum before heading out to the Cape but canceled after realizing we wouldn’t have enough time.
After a quick coffee stop at Phin Coffee House in downtown Boston, we headed straight to The Seafood Shanty (cash-only, but they have an ATM machine there!). We shared some fried clams and a lobster roll. They’re known for the big lobster salad portion, so order an extra bun to turn it into two rolls. I have Sesuit Harbor Cafe on my list to try next, so it will be my first Cape Cod stop next time.

I have a few more spots in Mid Cape that I have yet to try such as Lighthouse Keeper’s Pantry (cafe - there’s a line when we were there, so we left!), Barnstable Market, Four Seas Ice Cream, Fancy’s Market, Sundae School Ice Cream, and Marion’s Pie Shop (mini pies).
CHATHAM
Classic Chatham stops include Chatham Lighthouse Beach, the Chatham Pier Fish Market, and all of the shops on Main Street.

Collectively, we all agreed that the lobsters at Chatham Pier Fish Market are the best we’ve had this trip. If you go early in the morning, you’ll get to see how they unload the freshly caught seafood from boats to trucks. There are tons of birds and seals hanging out for food, so it’s also a great spot to bring kids with you to.

Chatham Bars Inn was just across the street, so we stopped by to grab a drink and hung out at the oceanfront lawn for a little bit.

Chatham Lighthouse is a must-stop if you’re in Chatham!

We checked into our hotel for the night, Eagle Wing Inn, in Eastham, changed, and headed out to the beach. My friend bought the Cape Cod Potato Chip bag without knowing we would be seeing the lighthouse, called Nausset Light, in-person, so it was funny watching them taking turn taking photos with it at the beach. I’d highly recommend flip flops and a blanket or chair to sit and watch the sunset. Beaches in Cape Cod are nice but can be very cold.
Out of all of the places in Cape Cod we asked our friends, Beachcomber in Wellfleet is the most recommended spot for food, drinks, and music with beach access. We missed out on the food window, so we ate at Mac's On the Pier and headed back to our hotel to chill for the rest of the night.
Sunday 8/24/2025 - PTOWN TO BOSTON
We woke up at 5:30 am for sunrise at Coast Guard Beach (it was a cloudy morning! Ugh!), got breakfast at Hole In One, and went back to our hotel to nap. It was much needed after a night of drinking, and honestly, it was the best nap ever. I only had two shots of vodka and a few sips of Cutwater! :/

P-TOWN
Provincetown (P-Town) is a historic seaside resort town at the northern tip of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and it’s only 25 minutes away from our hotel. I’ve been there before, but I like it even more this time around. I discovered more cools shops, fell in love with the houses here, and saw James Charles! I walked out of a shop right in front of his face, but he was looking at his phone and with other people.

P-town outfit: Filippa K spaghetti tank (old - similar), Ruti pants (size 4, gifted), COS brown raffia bag, Undo red claw clip, Comme Si brown shirt (Size S), Emme Parson navy suede mules

We stopped by Dorchester for our Vietnamese food fix — Phú Cường Market for grocery and Pho Le Restaurant for pho.

There is always some traffic and construction or accident delay getting in and out Boston, same thing with NYC, so I’d recommend adding at least 30 minutes to an hour to your itinerary. Pick a toll route if it can save you one hour. I’ve done this road trip a few times now, so we’d usually avoid driving past midnight since we’d usually get tired and sleepy. We did run a few hours behind schedule this time and didn’t arrive home to Brooklyn until 2 am, but that was all worth it. One of life’s greatest pleasures, at least to me, is that I get to share the things I love with the people I love. I love watching their eyes light up, their smiles grow, and knowing they feel the same joy I once did. I would do this trip all over again, and I cannot wait to take my family and more friends to these places! It’s so much fun and worth it!
I love going places and seeing things from the car-perspective. It’s easier, convenient, and most cost-effective, but it gets tiring the older I get. I hate being stuck in a car and would prefer walking or biking these days. That’s why I love living in NYC so much because it’s such a walkable city.
My head is all over the place this week as I’m trying to batch filming and editing all of the content for this week and the next. I love being busy because it helps my mind from going to ‘dark’ places. Fall weather is my favorite for fashion and travel, and honestly, it still feel so surreal that these words are coming from my mouth… I’m going to Europe next week — visiting Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Amsterdam for the very first time for 10 days!!! And I have some friends coming to visit after that in the fall.
5 FAVORITES THIS WEEK:
Flore Flore white Dewi tank - I love the deep V-neck, and size S is perfect. This top is next on my list!
Act+Acre Daily Hydro Shampoo, Conditioner, & Serum - Act+Acre honestly nails it with their branding and packaging, and the light blue bottle design is just so good. I’m so pleased to share that the shampoo and conditioner work, and the serum also helps with my dry scalp. I haven’t reached for my Head & Shoulders shampoo ever since, so I guess it’s a good sign.
Ruti Work Pants - I’m obsessed with the barrel legged cut, and the fabric is so soft and wrinkle-resistent (mostly!). Size 4 is the perfect fit, and I’m a waist 26!
Comme Si brown La Classica shirt - One of the best thrift finds ever. I found it at the men’s shirt rack at Beacon’s Closet in Greenwich Village!
Loop earplugs - I’ve been having some troubles falling asleep, and I’d often wake up multiple times a night. Honestly a great solution that I wish I got sooner (if your partner snores!).
After Europe, I’m sure I will come back to NYC with a totally different mindset. NYFW SS2026 is from September 11 - September 16, and I’m excited to watch SLOAN presentation, Calvin Klein Collection, Toteme, COS, Tory Burch, Maria McManus, Kallmeyer, and especially KHAITE S/S 2026 show. I’m still manifesting an in-person opportunity to a show with a brand I love. Any brands, really! I want it to be super special, and I know it will happen one day soon.
Lastly, I’ve got a request to share my Fall Wishlist, so that will be up next week. Take care, and as always, thanks for being a subscriber!
An :x
