That's a wrap for April!
solo weekend in NYC, filming and editing my first Youtube video, what I ate this week, 9 best Asian restaurants in NYC, & St. Agni bag first impression review
In case you missed it, I announced my come-back on YouTube here and here.
Over the weekend, I made sure to spend it well by intentionally doing all of the things I enjoyed doing so that I could be in the right head space to film this week. For me, that’s hanging out with friends, going shopping or just looking at stuff, and not staying home being too in my head.
Solo weekend in NYC
FRIDAY 4/19: After I hit the ‘schedule to publish’ button on Substack, I took the train to the Adidas store in Brooklyn to pick up these black suede sneakers that I had ordered (size M 6.5 / W 7.5) and mentioned in last week’s newsletter. For sizing reference, I’m a 7.5 - 8 US / 38 EU. These 1/2 size smaller felt bit snug, so if you’re my size - go with M 6.5 / W 7.5 this style! I did cancel on the pickup because I didn’t LOVE them, unfortunately. In person, I felt that the quality wasn’t up to my standard, and there was dried-up glue along the edges where the suede upper and the rubber sole meet. I also didn’t like the design and the material of the tongue of this particular style.
Then I browsed the shops in Boerum Hill. There’s a new clothing boutique, called OUTLINE, that has an curation of clothing and accessories from The Row, Lemaire, Dries Van Noten, Pleats Please, Jil Sander, Auralee, Maison Margiela, FLORE FLORE, and basically everything else I’d want in my wardrobe.
If you’re ever in downtown Brooklyn, you have to check out all of the shops on Atlantic Avenue. I’ve shared a list of my favorite shops in Brooklyn Guide here!
