February 10th is Tết aka Lunar New Year, and Vietnamese Tết celebration usually lasts 3 to 5 days. Right after I land, there’s the Baptism the weekend before all of the Tết festivities. My Vietnam trip back in November of 2022 lasted 3 weeks, and with the 12 hour difference and how much I had to do, it felt super short. A month sounds like a lot, but it is a typical amount of time for many people visiting home from the U.S, especially for those who still have family overseas. ‘Going home for Tết’ is like ‘going home for Christmas,’ and this is the moment I’ve waited for for 15 years. I cannot wait to be on the plane and be home with my family.

Last week, I said I’d share with you what I’d pack for Vietnam. As I’m getting things ready, in super-stressed mode, and preparing to pack, I realize I am out of mental capacity to make any neat packing content happen. So we’re pivoting and switching to NYC secondhand designer and vintage shopping guide that I promised I’d share in February. You’re getting it NOW plus a few other care tips to add to the previous content I shared, here. And a clothing haul ft. things I bought for my trip to Vietnam.

Thanks again for your understanding as I’m a one-person team navigating life at this time. Thank YOU for reading and subscribing!

What’s in this week:

  1. NYC Secondhand Designer and Vintage Shopping - an updated Guide (2024)

  2. Where and how I consign my stuff in NYC + the best store in NYC to consign your stuff (they take vintage and lesser known brands!)

  3. The RealReal quoted me this much for my The Row bag. I didn’t want to consign it yet, and here’s why.

  4. How to remove shoulder pads on jacket

  5. A clothing haul - what I bought for Vietnam
