6 Things I Wish I Did in My 20s - part 1

New Yorkers were blessed with a few 10/10 weather days, so I was outside a lot, out in the backyard, out in the neighborhood, and out in the city. I went to see Carrie Bradshaw’s apartment after brunch on Sunday. It’s got a chain over the front stoop with a private sign, so I only took some photos and left. It’s so nice walking around the West Village when the weather is sunny and cool. I can’t wait for the fall.

So I let a bag of frozen chicken thighs thaw, threw some beets in the oven to roast, and ran to a local bodega for a can of chickpeas (to make beet hummus!). It was a fab meal, and I especially loved the pita bread.

pita bread, shawarma chicken, beet hummus, and crispy crushed potatoes - recipes below. The green bowl is the green goddess salad I made a couple of days ago to eat with blue corn chips. It’s not a necessary dish, but it sorta works in this spread.
